The Living Dead return to Long Beach for the 4th time on Saturday, October 29 as LONG BEACH ZOMBIE WALK IV takes over Pine Avenue!
The Long Beach Zombie Walk is an all-ages event that invites ghouls of all ages to participate in a night of creepy-crawly fun. This year’s event is expanding into a full day-long street fest, complete with music and film, food and drinks, vendors and art, and not one but TWO WORLD RECORD ATTEMPTS – to break the record for the largest Zombie Walk in the world (a record currently held by Seattle, WA at at 4,700), and to break the record for the largest choreographed Thriller Mass Dance in the world (currently held by Brazil at 11,000)!
Participation in this year’s Zombie Walk Street Fest is FREE – enjoy music at the Tinderbox! Stage (located at the Promenade at 3rd Street), vendors, makeup artists, and more! Then join thousands of the walking undead for the largest Zombie Walk ever! At 7pm, join THRILL THE WORLD as they lead a mass dance to Michael Jackson’s THRILLER, taking place simultaneously all over the world, with their epicenter right here in downtown Long Beach! At 8pm, march down Pine Avenue in the largest ZOMBIE WALK the world has ever seen!
Tickets now available for Dead Man’s After-Party, a fantastic all-ages concert event featuring a live performance by Johnny Vatos’ Tribute to Halloween (featuring members of the ultimate Halloween band, Oingo Boingo!), beer garden, Zombie contests, and more! Dead Man’s After-Party is located at the Historic Press Telegram building, between 6th and 7th on Pine Ave. – get your tickets before they’re gone! Long Beach Zombie Walk is produced by and benefits the Long Beach Cinematheque, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the Long Beach film scene. The Cinematheque will also be donating a portion of their proceeds to Friends of Long Beach Animals and Special Olympics Southern California.

Walk the Walk see the Chalk – Justin Rudd’s Belmont Shore Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest, 9 am to 4 pm. This 8th annual event will showcase the works of diverse artists who will use chalk as their medium, and the sidewalks of Belmont Shore as their canvas. $1,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. Judging @ 3:30 pm – Award 4:00 pm.
Where all steps lead to creativity - Young Artist Art Contest presented by Long Beach Art Teachers from Naples, Lowell, Fremont, Rogers & Wilson High School. Young artists will showcase their art inside Belmont Shore businesses. Prizes awarded to each grade based on originality, technique & composition at 3 pm on Corona near Chase Bank.
