Queer Paint Night: Love Edition
February 11 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
QUEERS, you are invited to an evening of watercolor painting, creativity, and queer community.
The theme for this queer paint night is LOVE.
We want to celebrate love with you in all of its forms! Love like romantic love for your polyamorous partner(s), your monogamous partner, your newest crush, oldest longing, the unwavering love we receive from mama earth, the playful love you have for your platonic friends, the uncomplicated love we have for our animal companions, or even the really complicated love we may have for: our parents, media, ourselves. We are here for ALL THE LOVE, ready to be wholesome and cheesy AF.
Facilitated by Rebekah Rose and Nico Ruta, and hosted by Plantiitas. This experience is created by queers, and for queers!
No painting experience needed and beginners are encouraged to come. This gathering is about having fun, practicing, and playing in community.
All art and painting materials will be provided. If you have drawing and watercolor supplies you prefer to use, then you are welcome to bring your own.
Optional: We will have supplies for you to make valentines cards if your heart desires to do so.
Flow of evening:
- get settled into space
- warm up drawing games
- watercolor painting lesson led by Rebekah
- space to practice watercolor painting
- show and tell
We encourage you to arrive early to allow time to find street parking and to shop for plants at plantiitas.
